It was in 2005 that the Hollywood actress adopted a girl from an orphanage in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa. It happened during her visit with her eldest son Maddox. Pitt accompanied her on her second trip to deal with all the documents making the adoption official.
The film stars admitted raising their heiress the way she would be proud of her African roots praising her as an extraordinary African woman helping her develop a connection to her homeland which they found was essential for her. It is worth noting that in 2006 Maddox’s and Zahara’s surnames turned into Jolie-Pitt. The girl embraces her roots with great pleasure.
Zahara was 14 when she turned into jeweler Robert Procop and successfully created her own jewelry line also debuting some exclusive pieces during the premiere of her mother’s famous film. In 2020 it became known that she had some challenges concerning her health. Jolie admitted having spent months in and out of surgeries with her eldest daughters.
